On July 4, 2023, BeamNG got a new update, the version of which is marked with the number 0.29. New vehicles, missions, and challenges on existing maps have been added to the game.
BeamNG v0.29
One of the novelties, of course, are new vehicles and their configurations, which may resemble cars straight from the cult Mad Max movie – of course, combining this with the appropriate scenery of desert areas, which are not lacking in BeamNG.
One such vehicle is the Gambler 500, which looks quite strange on one of the configurations, due to the fact that it has only three wheels, including one in the back, which is quite large for a regular car. The rear wheel of the Gambler 500 resembles a tractor or monster truck wheel – is BeamNG’s car smash going to a new level? Probably yes.
The game also has 25 new challenges on existing maps, one such challenge is a special track just for Gambler 500, which can easily cope with jumping for long distances thanks to its large rear wheel. The new challenges can be compared to car parkour known from games such as GTA Online or Forza Horizon.
Of course, we also got another car, which in the game is called Soliad Lansdale – fans of GTA IV will surely associate this car, because it was used quite often in Liberty City, namely the vehicle was a taxi in the GTA universe. The Solid Landsdale is a car modeled on a real car which is the Chrysler Voyager, a family minivan that is considered a very popular car model in some parts of the world. Now in BeamNG, you will be able to use mods on Dummy, place it on all slots, and simulate car crashes in a computer game.
Of course, these are not all the changes that have been introduced with version 0.29. As the creators of BeamNG inform, a lot of bugs on various maps have been fixed, textures have been given a refreshed look, some cars have received refreshed interiors and more detailed engine models, as well as several new configurations in existing cars for a long time.
